I was watching a video about a guy explaining how being childfree can be seen as an act of kindness because you’re preventing your child a life of all potential suffering, and while that kindness may seem passive, it can be used to do some good in the world. He also went on to say that while having kids isn’t necessarily the opposite case, parents should “check in with the kids to see if they agree.”
I thought the video was just for a good laugh, but when I went to the comments, there was one that said “We need more children! We are heavily underpopulated”
So I decided to look up the current population, and saw that as of July 2022, there are 7.96 billion living people on the planet.
The title was my exact thought.
