One reason I don’t fully embrace some sections of the MRA or ‘manosphere’ is some idealise the ‘good old days’ when men were men and women women. I don’t call myself a feminist, but I think it’s good women have more rights, that men aren’t also AS constrained or repressed, though they still are. We’re all humans with needs and emotions.
Anyway, my point is, I’ve heard people say men are getting soft, weak, lazy, feminine , but seldom hear that about women. Like women are noble, ambitious, responsible etc…but in the past life was generally tougher for us all. In some ways men AND women were tougher. Women worked hard, sacrificed etc. Women are still seen as dainty wallflowers who can’t get their hands dirty. Now women are mostly encouraged to focus on their needs and wants – not all bad – but men are still expected to serve women’s needs. Like it can seem a bit selfish or one sided. I think its good for both to learn resilience etc.
