Ok, so… good news and scary news.
The good news is: I found a doctor who’s willing to sterilize me. Shout out to Stephen Thompson, at RHJN in northern Virginia! The consultation went well, I didn’t even need a binder, and – aside from cautioning me I’d probably regret it – he was nothing but professional and courteous. As things stand now, I’m scheduled for surgery on September 22nd.
The scary news? I don’t exactly have a lot of money. I’m banking heavily on insurance to cover most, if not all, of the cost. A hospital representative is calling sometime next week to finalize details, and I’d like to make sure I know the right questions to ask and/or requests to make. Has anyone had a tubal ligation via bi-salp with Cigna insurance? What can you tell me?
